Hermisan

HERMISAN sets up the necessary infrastructure so that the Ceutí Irrigators’ Community can use the water from the EDAR wastewater treatment plant of Archena

The Segura River basin that was traditionally the water lifeline for the region of Murcia, still is today, thanks to the most sustainable and modern farming techniques used, the key element of agriculture in Murcia.

The Ceutí Irrigators’ Community has come to an agreement with the Wastewater Treatment Plant (E.D.A.R.) of Archena to use the water that it recycles in the irrigated land of area V, sectors I and II.

This recycled water is perfectly suitable for agricultural use and it is a major contribution to the sustainability of the crops of Ceutí.

A tremendous amount of civil engineering work has been involved in connecting the E.D.A.R. plant to the reservoirs of the Irrigators’ Community, in terms of the volume of water to be transferred, the distance covered (7.2 Km) and the necessary earthwork.

Such an important project could only be undertaken by a company like HERMISAN, which has implemented all the technical resources so that the most can be made of this valuable water from the Segura River basin.

Reservoirs, pumping stations, high-capacity pipelines and drive systems take the water from the E.D.A.R. to the farms of the Ceutí Irrigators’ Community, who therefore have a guaranteed supply of irrigation water to make their crops sustainable and efficient.

It always makes HERMISAN proud to take on these technical challenges in the interests of our agricultural sector.
