
17 Jun 8.4 HA – FOREST GREENHOUSES IN SOUTH AFRICA
On this occasion we present an international project of which we are particularly pleased: in particular the one carried out in South Africa, together with our partner Greenzone Agriculture (Pty) Ltd, and consisting of the installation of 8.4 hectares of greenhouse for the development of forest plants, in the area of Nelspruit, South Africa, for the international producer Sappi Forest, dedicated to rooting 1.3 hectares, mother plants 1.3 hectares and 5.8 hectares of growth greenhouse with the aim of obtaining an estimated production of 12 million trees / year.
The installation has been carried out for Sappi Forest, a subsidiary of Sappi Global, based in Johannesburg (South Africa), which manages the subdivisions of Sappi Forest, Sappi Paper and Paper Packaging and Sappi Specialized Cellulose, division responsible for greenhouse crops.
Sappi was established in South Africa in 1936 and is currently a leader in the innovation and development of new products derived from forestry production, for all types of industries, being also the world’s largest manufacturer of dissolving wood pulp (DWP). , used in a wide range of consumer products.
