16 Jul Hermisan collaborates with the Plant Genetics Department of the Regional Service for Agrifood Research and Development (SERIDA) from the Principality of Asturias
The SERIDA (Plant Genetics Department of the Regional Service for Agrifood Research and Development "SERIDA" from the Principality of Asturias) is a leading institution in the research of all the areas related to plant production and it is an international benchmark given the scientific quality of its research work.
When it comes to choosing collaborators, it has very high demands. So, we were delighted when we were chosen through a tender, to set up an irrigation head, the fertigation and the climate control system of the research greenhouses of the Plant Genetics Department.
With the new facilities the customer can water and fertilise separate plots of land at the same time, combine water and fertiliser and control the different EC and pH levels, to directly supply the crops with the required formula of fertiliser or keep the nutrient solution in storage/stock solution tanks, which enhances flexibility and efficiency and it guarantees the correct climate control of the different research and development greenhouses.
The features that make this possible can be summed up as follows :
- An Automatic Screen Filter system
- An Advanced NUTRICOMPACT Fertigation System that can be used to directly fertilise the plots of land and prepare the buffer solutions in the “stock” balance tanks
- COMPLETE CLIMATE CONTROL OF THE 5 GREENHOUSES, THERMAL SCREENS, HYDRO COOLING, ETC. (Supracontrol-Climate), by means of sensors that monitor the ambient conditions inside them, together with the readings from the 1 Whole Outdoor Weather Station
- This is all run remotely from the Supra Automated System, which has a Screen-Printed panel and Auto/Manual control of all the features
