Hermisan

Technological Expansion in Precision Agriculture: The Project LA CASELLA – PHASE II

At its farm located in the region of La Ribera, Valencia, our customer continues with its outstanding growth in the area of precision agriculture. With its expansion project, in this PHASE II, the young and dynamic company has added 16 new hectares of mandarin crops for exports. Not only does this development double its production capacity, it also raises the agricultural technology standards in the region.

Technological Innovation in Precision Agriculture

This is not just any expansion project; it is a major step towards the future of intelligent agriculture. This project, where HERMISAN has implemented all the technology, incorporates an advanced automatic ring filter system and a new generation fertigation system, Nutricompact. The field system is equipped with cable controlled solenoid valves, which guarantees the efficient and precise management of the irrigation and fertigation systems.

Intelligent and Efficient Management through SupraControl

One of the most remarkable features of this project is the use of the automated management system, SupraControl. This system makes it easier to supervise and control the fertigation in real time, by optimizing the use of the resources and by improving productivity. Thanks to SupraControl, each element of the irrigation and plant nutrition system can be run efficiently, which ensures that every single drop of water and all the nutrients are used in the most efficient way possible.

Benefits of Precision Agriculture

The implementation of advanced technology in agriculture comes with a number of significant benefits:

  • Increased Productivity: With precise irrigation and fertigation systems, the plants get exactly what they need to grow, which maximizes the yield.
  • Efficiency in the Use of Resources: The automated systems and the precise control guarantee that no water or fertilizer is wasted, which is crucial both to cut down on costs and for environmental sustainability.
  • Improvement in the Quality of the Product: By monitoring the climate and controlling the nutrients in an optimum way, higher quality fruit is grown, which is particularly important for the crops that are exported.
  • Environmental sustainability: Reducing the amount of water and fertilisers used not only cuts down on the costs; it also minimizes the impact on the environment, which promotes more sustainable agricultural practices.

Our customer is marking a milestone in precision agriculture. By doubling its capacity and by using pioneering technology, not only does the company improve its productivity and efficiency, it also sets an example to be followed in the advanced sustainable management of agricultural resources.

Not only is precision agriculture the future, it is the present, and projects like this one prove that it has a positive impact on agricultural production.
